Larry K. Mansker was born 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri. He received a BFA from Bethany College in Lindeborg, Kansas . Serving his country for four years in the U.S. Army Exhibit Unit was his first commercial art experience. That was followed by ten years of creating art for the Advertising and Public Relations market.

The art was enjoyable. Dealing with the clients was not. So it was off to California where he focused on creating art for Architects and Designers, specializing in large paintings and wall murals, serving clients worldwide. Samples of this work is in the "CUSTOM ART PROJECTS" section of this website. In his Etching and Serigraph Studio he supplied prints for the large number of commercial buildings built in the 1980s and 90s.

These ventures gave him the financial resources to pursue a more personal statement with his art, resulting in several art series and art books. In 1991 he returned to the Midwest and built his dream studio in the little Ozark town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

" In my paintings the elements of design (line, texture, contrast, composition and color) are foremost, but also very important is creating a mood - for me, a happy mood, one that focuses on the brighter aspect of being alive."
